I thought the Make-A-Wish Foundation was only for terminally ill children. If my child participates in the program, does that mean the doctors know something that they haven’t told us?
The Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfills wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. This is an opportunity for renewed hope and joy - a chance to enjoy childhood again. It is never intended to be considered a last wish.

Will my child be taking a wish away from another who is more needy?
Every child who qualifies will have his or her wish fulfilled.

Who can participate in a wish?
The entire immediate family is included on a wish experience.

How long does it take to make a wish happen?
A wish can be fulfilled as quickly as necessary based upon the child’s situation.

How are the wishes paid for?
People working together....individuals, corporations and community groups make the wish experience possible. Contributions, honorariums and memorials, corporate gifts and various fundraisers throughout the area provide the funds.

Our family is fortunate, financially. We are usually the ones who give.
Should we feel uncomfortable accepting a wish?
The Foundation fulfills wishes of all kinds and has access to resources not available to the general public. We can arrange unique trips, celebrity meetings and other special experiences that money cannot buy.
