PORT ST. LUCIE - Striking out was never this fun - and rewarding! During the 2007 St. Lucie Mets season at Tradition Field, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida will benefit from each batter whiffed by the home team.

Last season, opposing batters went down 420 times on strikes.

You can do your part to help make wishes come true by becoming a sponsor of "Strike Out For Wishes". For just a $5.00 pledge per batter that strikes out, you can get many exciting benefits - including the chance to make a child's wish come true.

** Each time a St. Lucie Mets pitcher records a strikeout at Tradition Field, a public address announcement will be made naming your business

** Your company will be included in promotions and advertising (including, but not limited to, print and radio) leading up to the end-of-season check presentation

** Your company will be included in public address and scoreboard messages promoting the check presentation event several days in advance as well as recognizing your company on the night of the presentation.

** An opportunity to set up a table on the evening of the check presentation event to distribute literature/coupons.

** On the evening of the check presentation, one representative from each participating business will be invited to participate in "First Ball" ceremonies and watch the game from the Mets hospitality suite
