Putting the "fun" in fund-raising, Kids For Wish Kids® and Wishmaker®s on Campus offers youngsters a unique opportunity to raise money for some very special children - Make-A-Wish kids.
In 1993, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida launched Kids for Wish Kids, an educational program that allows students to work with one another and enables them to develop leadership skills while raising money for a great cause. With the assistance of parents, teachers, and community leaders Kids for Wish Kids and Wishmakers on Campus provide students and young people the opportunity to be creative and develop fundraisers in order to grant the wish of a child in their community. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of program supporters, Kids for Wish Kids and Wishmakers on Campus has been able to grant more than 74 wishes!

Kiddie Academy of Miami Lakes hosts a fashion show to benefit Make-A-Wish
The child care learning center, which provides a comprehensive education-based child care program lent a helping hand by organizing a fashion show which featured clothing donated by Dillard's Department Store. Approximately 50 children participated in the event as models, ranging in age from 2-12. The public was invited to attend; all attendees were asked to make a donation as an entrance fee. All donations benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida.
Kiddie Academy sent 15 year old Lindsey from Port St. Lucie to meet the Jonas Bros. in New York City. Lindsey will be picked up in a limousine and visit the Empire State Building the first day of her wish. That evening her limo will take her to Madison Square Garden to see the Jonas Bros. live in concert where she will get autographs, photos, and ask all the questions she may have. On the last day of her wish Lindsey will visit the American Museum of Natural History (where Night at the Museum was filmed with Robin Williams & Ben Stiller).

University School Fourth Graders Help to Grant Wish
University School students raised money for Make-A-Wish through their annual Make-A-Wish Lunch Market. Each year fourth grade students collect a variety of new and gently used items which they sell to faculty and staff. The fourth grade class took turns working as sales people, collecting money and making change. At the end of each day, the Make-A-Wish officers tallied the earnings.
Over the years Mrs. Szikman and the fourth grade class at University School have donated more than $35,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or enough to grant 7 wishes!
Thank you Mrs. Szikman and the fourth grade class for your continued dedication to our children and cause.

Lynn University's athletics deparment, the first collegiate athletic office in South Florida to join the “Wishmakers on Campus” program, launched an initiative to get involved with the community and help grant the wish of a local child. Spearheaded by the Athletics Dept. and SAAC Director Sara Quatrocky, the students set out in the community on a number of various fund-raising intiatives to raise enough money to grant a wish.
Just one month after its launch, Gabe, a 12-year-old boy from Fort Myers diagnosed with liver cancer, was granted his wish to meet Chad Pennington of the New York Jets on November 2nd.
On Saturday, December 8th, Gabe and his family came to Lynn’s campus to celebrate the wish. Gabe, who was born with a rare liver disease, had a liver transplant at just 10-months of age. Twelve years later, Gabe is going strong. A meet and greet with Gabe was hosted before the women’s and men’s basketball doubleheader against Eckerd. Gabe served as the honorary coach leading Lynn U. to victory. Lynn Athletics hosted a half-time presentation honoring Gabe and his family.

6th grader Coral of Deerfield Beach Middle IB Program set out to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through the Kids For Wish Kids program.
Coral organized a bowling tournament at Pompano Bowl with all the proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation- she wanted to do something special for kids with life-threatening medical conditions! Coral came up with the idea to solicit donations for a raffle and have the money paid to play the games donated to Make-A-Wish. She asked her mom to call the Foundation and together they filled out the paperwork.
